Wise men came from the east to worship Jesus. They had seen his star, that it shone brightly. They had not seen any star so magnificent as this star was. And thus, they were brought to a state of awe and desired to worship Him. Matthew 2:2.
Have I also seen His star?
The wise men saw but a little of the glory of Jesus Christ. They knew who he was. It was not his life on earth that they saw but his exalted life. They desired nothing else but to search him out and worship him. Christ has revealed His glory to me in a greater dimension than he did to the wise men. Do I hunger to know him more? Do I search him out as gold and silver, doing everything possible that I may be with him? The Lord has promised to honor everyone that honors him. Hear what He says, “you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13.
The wise men found Jesus. The star directed them to where He was. When they saw him, they rejoiced greatly and offered their gifts to Him. Thus should I do, always seeking Him. He is faithful and will find me. Then I will pour out my worship unto Him continuously until the day I see Him face to face. Then I shall be like him and lay my trophies at his feet so that my joys would be complete.
Whom have I in heaven but you? and earth has nothing I desire besides you. Psalm 73:25.
